PDF Text Highlight + AI Q&A
Go to CoursesSelect any text in your PDF materials to ask AI questions about it. Get instant, context-aware explanations.
Open a Material in PDF Viewer
In the course detail page, click the "View" button (eye icon) on any completed file card to open it in the PDF viewer.
Select Text in the PDF
Click and drag to highlight any text passage in the PDF. A black floating "Ask AI" button appears above your selection.
Click "Ask AI"
Click the "Ask AI" button in the floating toolbar. The AI chat panel expands at the bottom of the right panel, with your selected text shown under "Reference Text".
Type Your Question
Type your question in the text area at the bottom of the chat panel. The selected text is automatically included as context for the AI.
Get AI Response
Click the send button (arrow icon) or press Enter. The AI streams its answer in real-time. You can click the pause button (red) to stop generation mid-stream.
Continue the Conversation
Ask follow-up questions in the same chat. The AI remembers the full conversation context. Click the copy icon below any AI response to copy it to your clipboard.
The AI's answers are based on YOUR course materials, not generic internet knowledge. This ensures relevance and accuracy. Your Q&A usage quota is displayed next to the model selector.
Multimodal AI (Image + Text)
Go to CoursesUpload images (diagrams, formulas, handwritten notes) along with text questions for AI analysis.
Open the AI Chat Panel
In the PDF viewer, click the floating "Ask anything" bubble at the bottom-right of the right panel to expand the AI chat area.
Click the Image Upload Icon
In the chat input area at the bottom, click the image upload icon (camera/image icon) to the left of the text area.
Select an Image
Choose an image from your device — diagrams, formulas, charts, or handwritten notes. The image preview appears in the chat input area.
Type Your Question
Type your question about the image in the text area, e.g., "Explain this diagram" or "Solve this equation".
Get AI Analysis
Click the send button. The AI analyzes both the image and your question together, providing a comprehensive explanation streamed in real-time.
Works great for diagrams, mathematical formulas, charts, and handwritten notes. Make sure images are clear and well-lit for best results.
